Scroll+ is an elite digital reading platform developed solo by Xenit and operated by OWL APP LTD. Our mission is to combine world-class privacy with immersive gamified education.

2. DATA LOCALITY & COLLECTION

We adhere to a Local-First philosophy. Most data stays on your device, and we only collect minimal information for gamification features:

• Authentication: Secure Google Sign-In for synchronized progression across your devices.
• Activity: Real-time Nova, Title, and Streak metrics for global leaderboard competition.
• Zero-Cloud File Policy: We do NOT collect, scan, or store your book files. PDF and EPUB processing happens 100% locally on your device.

3. PERMISSIONS

The app requests the following system permissions:

• Storage: To read locally stored PDF/EPUB documents.
• Brightness: To enable our E-Ink simulator and eye-protection features.

4. SECURITY

All data synced with our servers is encrypted during transit (HTTPS/TLS) and stored securely on protected infrastructure. We do not sell user data to third parties.

5. YOUR RIGHTS UNDER GDPR (EU/UK)

If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have the following rights under GDPR: Right of Access (Art. 15) - request a copy of your personal data; Right to Rectification (Art. 16) - correct inaccurate data; Right to Erasure (Art. 17) - request deletion of your data; Right to Restrict Processing (Art. 18) - limit how we use your data; Right to Data Portability (Art. 20) - receive your data in a portable format; Right to Object (Art. 21) - object to certain processing activities. 6. YOUR RIGHTS UNDER KVKK (TURKEY)

Türkiye'de ikamet eden kullanıcılar olarak 6698 sayılı Kişisel Verilerin Korunması Kanunu (KVKK) kapsamında şu haklara sahipsiniz: Madde 11 uyarınca; kişisel verilerinizin işlenip işlenmediğini öğrenme, işlenmişse buna ilişkin bilgi talep etme, işlenme amacını ve bunların amacına uygun kullanılıp kullanılmadığını öğrenme, yurt içinde veya yurt dışında aktarıldığı üçüncü kişileri bilme, eksik veya yanlış işlenmiş ise düzeltilmesini isteme, KVKK'nın 7. maddesinde öngörülen şartlar çerçevesinde silinmesini veya yok edilmesini isteme, işlenen verilerin münhasıran otomatik sistemler vasıtasıyla analiz edilmesi suretiyle aleyhinize bir sonucun ortaya çıkmasına itiraz etme, kanuna aykırı olarak işlenmesi sebebiyle zarara uğramanız halinde zararın giderilmesini talep etme haklarınız bulunmaktadır. 7. DATA RETENTION

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. Inactive accounts: If your account remains inactive for 3 years, we may delete it and associated data. Log data: System logs are retained for 2 years for security and debugging purposes. You can request immediate deletion at any time via the Delete Account page.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Reading Features (Offline): The core reading functionality of Scroll+ (viewing PDF and EPUB files) does not require an account and can be used by anyone, including children of any age under parental supervision. No personal data is collected for offline reading. Online Features: Account-based features (leaderboards, progress sync, Nova points) require users to be at least 13 years old, or have verifiable parental/guardian consent as required by COPPA and similar laws. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. Parents who believe their child has created an account without consent may contact us at [email protected] to request account deletion.

9. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

We use the following third-party services: Google Sign-In - for authentication (Google's Privacy Policy applies); Google Analytics - for anonymous usage statistics (only with your consent). These services may collect data according to their own privacy policies. We do not share your personal data with any other third parties.
